being well at work:
There are actually ways to work more efficiently and still have energy at the end of the day. With greater awareness, we can learn to stop automatic behaviors and thoughts and be more effective, more accurate and more strategic. We can manage all of that while being healthier, more creative and more balanced. The kind of balance that enables productive, meaningful and successful relationships at work and at home.
Positive change and successful movement toward goals will not come easily until we know more about the status quo. Work environments are competitive and fast-paced, which means we often just focus on the goal, hovering out there in the future somewhere. This reality means we can often miss the steps we could take now to remove obstacles to reaching goals more efficiently.
The being well consulting approach includes systems evaluations, team and/or individual coaching, and the use of customized training toward advancing team/organizational goals. The training approach includes integrating empirical, evidence-based skill-building with the values and over-arching goals of the group in mind (See Mindful/Awareness Training & Stress Management for more information on available trainings)
For your team or organization, being well means being sure©:
Synthesize pragmatic and systems-oriented approaches that resonate with your team and organizational values and create a customized path for this "system" or group to achieve its goals.
Understand the collective unique strengths and weaknesses. Not just in skills but also worldviews and experiences.
Respect the collective "empirically established" knowledge base, yet learn crucial new ways to think beyond old conceptualizations and create and embrace creative solutions.
Evolve into a new way of being and enjoy each and every step. Movement forward brings your team and organization more information, more knowledge and more collective wisdom to apply to future endeavors. The process is dynamic and evolutionary.
